Friday Faves: Get Pin-spired Edition

Goodbye August, nice knowing ya.
You know what this farewell means??
Fall.
Sweet sweet fall.
{sigh} How I love thee.
This morning it's a crisp 55 degrees and I'm loving it!

Currently we are on our family vacation in Ocean Park and I am sitting on the beach soaking up the final days of summer before embracing Fall with full force!! Of course as I sit here I am enjoying a pumpkin coffee because well, obvi!
Since I have been donning nothing but a bathing suit and beach cover up as of late and it's also Friday Faves-- I thought I'd recycle some of my fave Fall Pin-spired looks of the past!

Here we go!

Fave #1:
A great transitional look for those not so brisk Fall days. Considering Wednesday was close to 90 we may be easing into the fall wardrobe.

Fave #2:

Another transitional look--this is one of my all time fave fave fave fashion pins! Simple, comfy and cute.

Fave# 3:

This outfit is just screaming Fall from the brightly colored leaf bearing treetops!
Am I right?

Short and sweet and repeat pin-spiring is how I roll on this--the last week of summer.

Both boys fell asleep on our morning fun! Even though mum is doing all the work;)

My boys<3

They love each other!

This sweet boy rolled over for the first time!! And of course I missed it!!

Sisters:)

The Tedster is loving the beach already!

Here's hoping for a fab week at the beach!

Friday Faves

Hey party people!
It's Friday! (Insert field goal hands emoji!)
I missed out on Friday faves last week, so I'm back with vengeance!;) I have lots of favey faves today! As well as all sorts of rando-ness!

Linking up with Andrea, Erika & Narci!

Favey Fave#1:
Sunday we head to my parents' beach house in Ocean park for the week!! It is without a doubt my fave week of summer! And a bonus?? It's only 20 minutes away--so each night we can come home and put the boys in their own beds before waking up early(no problem at all!) and heading back for the day!! It really is such a wonderful week! I  am looking forward to chilly early mornings drinking pumpkin coffee(another fave!!) the little store at the beach has actual roasted pumpkin coffee and not the syrup and it is a amaze!! I can't wait to sit on the beach all morning and then read a book on the porch while the boys take a nap in the camp in the afternoons.  And I'm looking forward to chilly evenings and hoodies and trips to the ice cream parlor! I'm telling you this week is the best! Not to mention I have the best fam ever! And I love the days where all seven of us kids will all be there! Big fams are the best:) Growing up we never went on exotic vacations, but every summer we ALWAYS rented a beach/lake camp and to this day it has always been a fave fam memory!
This was two years ago!

This was last year!

It will be Teddy's first trip and I am excited to get a fam pic!

Favey Fave#2:
For all the complaints Maine winters get, the summer usually always makes up for it! This year has been no different! I am also not one of those complainers. I love that we have four seasons! And winter may be long, but it always makes me appreciate nice weather! Anyways, lately the mornings and evening have been chilly and the days have been perfection. Absolute perfection.
Ignoring today how glorious does this coming week look?!?!? Love!!

Favey Fave#3:
I told you there was some randomness today! My new fave pizza topping?! Yellow peppers! Lately we have been getting already made deli pizzas and adding our own toppings and I have been cutting fresh yellow peppers and adding it on and it is so delish!! Can't get enough!

It wouldn't be a Friday Fave without a snap of the bros pal!
Love these two! Joey is OBSESSED with Teddy. So much so Teddy's thinking of calling in a restraining order. I kid, but in all seriousness Joey really has no concept of personal space. He just wants to be all up in Teddy's face. When Teddy is napping he sneaks upstairs and tries to wake him up! He doesn't like when Teddy isn't around. It's precious! Not so much the  trying to wake him up from the nap part--but the bro-mance part is def presh:)

Mothers of littles? Be sure to check out Tuesday's post!  My thoughts on having my hands full;)

Have a fabulous Friday friends!!

#palpicoftheday2014

Well I have officially botched the whole number of days. I keep counting wrong and then it just throws everything off! I have resorted to just using the hashtag #palpicoftheday2014. I have loved documenting a picture that captures each day and am going to love looking back through our year come December which I have a sinking feeling will be here before we know it!
But before we get all maudlin about time passing let's take a look at our week shall we??

My boys(insert heart eye emoji)

Play date fun! Prior to being a parent I swore I wore never use the word playdate! It sounded so weird to me. But really what else is there to call it? I said lots of things pre-parenthood that are quite laughable.

Fashionably late to the four month pic party! But loving life as a 4 month old so far!! (Insert field goal hand emoji)

Teddy's four month appt! All went well and Joey was being a good little helper!

Last Friday was a Holy Day. The feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. I got the boys ready and we headed to the 7:30 mass! Usually Joey's my challenging one at church but Teddy woke up on the wrong side of the crib and was super grouchy!! So much so I had to stand out back the entire mass!! Joey was great and sat with my family. Thank goodness they were there! This is our after mass photoshoot. I think Joey was giving Teddy a blessing for missing the mass in the bottom left pic;)

If you can't wear overall jorts at 4 months --when can you wear them?!

Last weekend we transitioned the Tedster to his crib! So far so good:)

Happy Thursday!!

What I Wore

Hi there.
Ready for another rendition of What I Wore?
Of course you're not. As if you care what I am wearing. Go about your biz and click away if you have absolutely no desire. I can't say I blame you.
However, this post is fun for me and makes me feel like I actually do sometimes wear something besides my workout clothes!
So without further ado!

Cas look. And clearly I've never met an iron.

Church look. I swear I didn't look this awkward in person.

Hello jean shorts that finally fit even though summer is almost over. Small victories. I'll take it! This has been the summer of loosey goosey comfy shorts. Finally normal shorts that fit over my post baby bod squishyness! and that tank?? $2 special at Old Navy!

Happy Hump Day for those that stayed with me!  I  apologize you wasted a hot minute on  my lack of style;)

You sure have your hands full

"You sure have your hands full"
How many moms of small children have heard this phrase? I only have two small children so I don't pretend to know what it feels like to truly have my hands full. ( I secretly wonder how my mom already had four kids under 5 at my age!!) However, this phrase is thrown at me quite often. Granted it's never critically, but rather with a comical  "I'm glad I'm not you!" tone. The person means no harm, but it got me thinking.

Usually it occurs at the grocery store when I have one kid in the car seat taking up the entire carriage bed with various grocery items strategically placed around said babe, while the other is trying to stand up in the front seat so he can get out and run sprints up and down the aisles.  Or perhaps when someone sees the amount of energy packaged into a small two year old boy's small body, at the exact moment little bro is exercising his lungs so eloquently.
In may in fact  appear that I do indeed have my hands full.

But you know what, I'd much rather have my hands full than empty.

In the mornings, as I'm coming down the stairs with Teddy in one arm and Joey(at his assistance that I carry him too) in the other I am filled to the brim with how lucky I am to have my hands full of these sweet, active, busy little boys.

In my 29 years of life, the greatest joy has been having my hands full of my children. Life is fleeting and these moments won't last forever, so I will cherish each and every second my hands are full!

Now, when someone says "you sure have your hands full" I'll smile and think to myself--full hands, FULL HEART! (am I right Coach Taylor?)

Maybe when my hands are a bit fuller I'll be singing a different tune, but I'm pretty certain I won't ;)

Answer Me This

Well, I missed out on Friday Faves this week.  The day just ran away from me and I wasn't able to blog! It's usually my fave day on the blog.  Instead, I thought I'd blog on a Sunday.  I am linking up with Kendra from Catholic All Year for Answer Me This!

Here it goes:

1. What is your favorite room in the house?
Since there aren't many rooms to choose from I am going to go with our living/family/play room.  This room is where we spend the majority of our time.  I love that it is so lived in.  There is a corner of the room with Joey's train table and all of his toys and he spends most of his time entertaining himself there.  I love that it is cozy and quaint.

2. Do you subscribe to any magazines or other periodicals?
I get Family Fun.  I love it because it has great kid ideas as well as easy, yummy recipes.  It's also a pretty quick read so I can manage to make it through in one sitting.

3. How do you feel about the sign of peace in Mass? Enriching? Awkward? Overdone? Just right? Some combination of the above?
I actually like this part of Mass.  I always think of belonging to a parish as being part of a community and this part of the mass is really the only time you are interacting with others in your church community not outside of church.
I also like it because I am convinced every one gets super annoyed with my distracting children, so to receive a kind smile and handshake makes me relieved to know they don't totally hate us.

4. What is your least favorite sound?
Crying babies in the wee hours of the  night;)

5. What was your favorite TV show (or shows) growing up?
Full House for sure!  They don't make shows like that anymore--it makes me sad.

Boy Meets World
Saved By the Bell
Touched By An Angel

6. What are your favorite TV shows now?
I do love my tv shows:
-Scandal
-Royal Pains
-Pretty Little Liars
-Parenthood
-Greys Anatomy
-Hart of Dixie
-General Hospital
Don't judge!

Enjoy the Sunday with your family!

Teddy-4 months

The Tedster is four months. What the what?!
I cannot believe how quickly time has gone by, yet it also feels like forever since he's joined our fam.

Teddy has really started getting a little personality. He is the sweetest, happiest baby ever. He loves attention from anyone, but especially from his big bro. I can already tell he's dying to keep up with Joey's shenanigans.

He is getting to be quite a little chunk. He's already in 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diaps.

We are currently working on the sleeping sitch;)

Still can't quite figure out who he looks like but he is looking a little more like Joey all the time.

He loves to sit in the bumbo seat. He still is enjoying the mamaroo. We have tried him in the exersaucer a few times and he's just starting to dig it.

He loves putting things in his mouth. His fist, his blanket, his little giraffe teether--but he rarely will take a pacifier! That will probably end up being a good thing.

He gives out smiles like they're going out of style! He's so easy going!

He had his 4 month appt today. Everything looks great. He is 15lbs 14oz and 25.5 inches long! He took his vaccines like a little champ.

Playground with my little helper! She kept Joey nice and entertained!!

Day 219:
Fun Fridays wear a bro out.

Day 220:
